A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT
Hard to believe we are finally into summer, which reminds me of two events coming up, the 6th and the 27th of June, look them up www.viperclub.org/regions/ontario .
The Viper Owners Invitational (VOI.8) is one of the most prestigious events on our calendar this year. This event takes place once every two years some where in the U.S.A. ; If you are a new member, just ask any of us who went to the previous ones.
VOI.8, is the most elaborate function a company can put on to their loyal clients. Dodge literally gives us the red carpet treatment; New 5 star hotels are offered to us at fraction of their regular rates. All meals and banquets are provided by your host and transportation's if you didn't bring your Viper, as well as a courtesy Viper to use at the track (the fastest tracks in the world are reserved for our use with instructors).
If you were lucky to go to one of these previous invitational, you know that you'll
never miss another one. Enough said I have been accused as being a salesman
before, far from it, being the luckiest S.O.B. that I admit to. But in fact I am a
chemist who worked for the Feds for 24 years, what do I know about salesmanship,
lol .

UPCOMING V.C.O. EVENTS FOR JUNE
June 6th Exotic car lapping, we did this event last year and it was fun. You will lap at your own pace with your own group; A) Experts B) Intermediate C) Novice . There will be a short lecture session prior to lapping on Sunday morning, rule of passing, hand signals, and so on......This is the time to ask questions.
If this is your first time lapping, it is advisable to ask one of the instructors to accompany you on your first lap. The instructors will guide you through the course pointing out the entry, Apex, and exit of a corner....Very important.
More importantly is your Viper mechanical condition, insure all your car fluids are filled, your brakes are ok, your power steering cap is tight, tire pressure! (This is more of preference some like to raise the air pressure on the front tires etc. factory setting at 29 psi is fine too), just the basic stuff, and don't forget your helmet.
Always take a warm up lap and a cool down lap, brake fluids tend to heat up and even boil under heavy breaking, please don't get to this point, you are out to have fun. After lapping leave car in gear, and avoid the emergency brakes (heat will stretch the emergency cable).
If you are attending, contact the organizer directly, and let me know. Further updates will be passed on in due time.

June 27th Giant BBQ Viper & Prowler Club, Milton.
This is one of my personal favorites. Dan & I will plan a cruise route that includes an awesome drive though "the forks of the credit" and Belfountain. Starting at the Symposium Coffee shop (in the south east plaza at Hwy 7 & Weston Rd) and ending at Dan & Onita's place in Milton.
Last years drive & BBQ was a great success. Onita had welcome signs, balloons and all the glitter directing us into their huge paved driveway at the end of the cruise. We partied complete with live music, great food. Dan gave us a live Eagle & Hawk show and released a nurtured Owl back to the wild. You can get all the details at last years website http://www.viperprowler.homestead.com
(I will adjust the dates from last years website). $20 per head will help offset Dan's costs.(Kids free).

REPORTS ON LAST MONTHS EVENTS
We have not been lucking out with the weather lately! Despite the wet and chilling weather, thirteen Vipers showed up for this event. A total of approx.$1650 was donated by our club, and personal member's contributions, to put BIG SMILES on these little faces...Nice going guys!!
Honorable mentions goes to Maureen Shragie, Rick Simpson, Sonny Stone, Mike Lee, Jeff Green and Ryan Horses for their personal donations, thanks guys.
I would like to thank every one of you who came out today, and particularly to our American friends, Bruce & Diane Roche; Pat & Gail Chapin for their support; To Neil McLeod for harboring us inside Costco for warmth and
refreshments; His staff for organizing and inviting us to participate in this charity drive. To all job well done.
It was nice meeting for the first time, Gilbert and Kathy kee (loved the graphics on your 04), and Joseph and Zahra Zsolt.

Beer & wings at Kelseys!
Well, we are 3 for 3 for rain this year! I don't know what it is but mother nature must have a
curse on Vipers! Despite the crummy weather it was a good turnout, including 4 Vipers and
a beautiful purple Prowler!
Nabil and Sonny decided to leave their snakes at home, but
everyone had a blast inside the restaurant. The food was amazing, and many of us were
entertained by Dan's interesting stories about birds of prey and "The Canned Sailfish"..haha!
Many thanks go out to Kevin, who did an amazing job organizing the event and also to Erin
for keeping my mom entertained while I snapped away in the parking lot :-)!!
Overall it was an awesome event, and we hope to see you all soon in the near future!

WANTED:
Does anyone know where I can find a front licence plate holder that is removable. I understand someone makes an aftermarket version that snaps on and off the front center spoiler. I've received 2 warnings and two tickets thus far. I was told by the last OPP officer that a memo has gone out to check on all vipers seen. Apparently most snake owners don't have front plates mounted. Be on the lookout!

Morris Manna
