A MESSAGE FROM YOUR PRESIDENT |
This is our first electronic News Letter issue, I wish to thank Jeff Green for taking on this task, to keep us all informed on club activities during the summer events. We all will be correspondents to Jeff, as he will relay your stories, events, and pictures in his issues. Since most of you have not driven your Vipers since last fall, I would like to emphasise the safety issue, which concerns all of us regarding this powerful car. It is important to remember that you are in the Viper and not in your sedan, and please respect the power of the beast. Avoid full throttle, but if you must! Make sure your steering wheel is straight; insure your stock tires are at the manufacturer setting. Make sure the fluids are not contaminated with water moisture particularly your brakes, if it is dark brown get it changed. Learn how to drive this vehicle safely all over again, and particularly the new comers. I would encourage you to attend driving schools, driving events, at a safe road course with instructors. The second issue of concern is the caravan travel, it is important to follow road rules for the safe arrival of all concerned. I am not here to preach, but to welcome you all to a safe and enjoyable season. We have planned a nice and a balanced summer schedule for you, check our website http://www.viperclub.org/regions/ontario for dates and times of our outings. Enjoy your Viper and come out and play when you can. |

Just wanted to alert everyone to the annual Tators Dodge BBQ coming up May 1st! (Rain date may 2nd) Chuck is hoping to have 110 Vipers this year to beat the all-time non-VOI viper gathering. The BBQ is in South Salem NY, about 400 Miles from the Niagara Falls area. I am going down with a few guys from around here. Hotel arrangements have been made by Chuck, he blocked out many rooms at a local hotel, which is about 3 miles from the BBQ. (Good prices too! and well lit) We plan on traveling down on Friday, staying over Friday and Saturday night, then driving back either Sunday or Monday-(rain date depending). Please let me know ASAP if interested, and I will send you a copy of the registration sheet. Daniel Lesser (716) 912-5336
Hey VCO Members Just wanted to warn you all, I received a call from a guy name Julio today who obtained my name through a CARFAX report. He called to see if I ever owned a 2000 RT-10 (the same one I wrote off). Apparently the guy who purchased my destroyed car (Ted Knarr) has decided to some how fix it and sell it for 80,000!!!!!! And is not telling anyone that it was in an accident. His name is Ted Knarr and his company is Robbie's Dry-cleaning Kevin McDonald
I just recently had some work done to my '99 silver viper. I replaced my smooth intake pipes and K&N filters with a Paxton Novi 2000 Supercharger. I also had a four-wheel Stop-Tech big brake kit installed. All work was completed by Mike Adams. We dyno-ed and got a result of 539 HP and Torque of 534. We had the compression set on the conservative side and will reprogram and increase the compression once the weather warms up a bit. We also will install a smaller pulley on the supercharger. Both will again increase hp quite a bit. The only other mod. completed on the car is Mopar high flow cat back system installed two years ago by Wellington Motors. If I get my scanner working I will e-mail you a couple pics of the brakes and Paxton if your wish. Let me know. Will probably see you at dyno day (just to watch) Kevin Feist
